Our Why
A survivor of adverse childhood experiences (ACES), WCF’s founder, Dr. Adam Weissman was diagnosed with complex PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety as a young adult, which led him to pursue a career in clinical child/family psychology, and launch CFI and later the Weissman Children’s Foundation, to give every child and family the gift of therapy and healing, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, income, gender or sexual identity, military status, or other identifying characteristics. Dr. Weissman discusses his “why” here.
